Hope For Brain Injury
Hope For Head Injury, Coma and Traumatic Brain InjuryArchive for May, 2001
Today is Monday, May 7, 2001. I suppose a bit of explanation is due as to what’s been happening these past few months. Personally, I have been overwhelmed with school, work and life in general, so my apologies to all who may have felt this site wasn’t kept current. The fact is, I visit this site frequently and think of Harold daily, however as “new” news goes, I just haven’t had a lot. I visited Harold last weekend and, to be truthful, he didn’t seem as well as I’d found him over the holidays. I am, however, not going to allow my mind to play tricks on me. I’ve only seen Harold twice since he’s been at the Manor Care facility in Lancaster, PA (due to my rigorous school/study schedule), and I don’t think that my most recent visit needs to necessarily be an indicator of how he’s been doing on a regular basis. He might have just been having an “off” day. I won’t lie, it bothers me, but maybe it was just that I was there in the morning this visit. On my previous visit, I was there in the afternoon and he was more alert and “with it.” As I said, I don’t have enough visits/information yet to really tell you how he’s doing. I spoke at length with the nurse in charge and she told me that they all have a very special place in their heart for Harold. I hope that’s helpful for all of you, and I think it would be very helpful to Harold if he could have plenty of visitors. That’s my personal experience and I hope to visit him again soon. May you all be richly blessed and know that I haven’t forgotten this Web site!
